SPIRAL-WOUND GASKETS

Our spiral-wound gaskets are characterised by a high degree of precision. This makes it possible for a filling material band to be integrated during the winding of a profiled metal strip. The enormous high quality of our spiral-wound gaskets is further achieved on account of the first-class quality of the expanded graphite or PTFE. The V-profiled metal strip is in this case produced from different metallic materials, whereby it is ultimately the V-shaped cross section, which effects the improvement of the resilience properties of the gasket. We offer all the spiral-wound gaskets with and without inner and outer rings. The texture is designed so that a universal application is possible and substances such as water, bases, steam, acids and gases can be easily sealed. In case you require particularly chemical-resistant variants of our spiral-wound gaskets, we are happy to present to you our individually tailored solutions.

SPECIFICATIONS We deliver according to the following standards: ASME B 16.20 suitable for ASME, BS, works standards and DIN/EN flanges
PROFILES Type SW – spiral wound gasket without inner and outer ring for force shunt- and groove and spring applications. Type SW-I – spiral wound gasket with inner support ring. For male and female flanges. Type SW-O – spiral wound gasket with centring ring. For flanges with and without sealing strip. Type SW-IO – spiral wound gasket with centring ring and inner ring. Gasket for flange connections with and without sealing strip.
The secret of the spiral wound gasket is a wound "V" shaped steel strip. Under pressure it presses against the flanges and concomitantly compresses the filling material.
